Once you have chosen a fabric, we can make your curtains, blinds or pelmets to your exact measurements. We specialise in stylish designs of ply pelmets.

Choose your preferred style of window dressing from our selection below, then fill in your window measurements, using the Knickerbean measuring guide to help you. We will calculate how much fabric will be required and quote you a price for making the curtains.

We do not take direct payment over the internet, as we feel that we must first discuss final details with you to ensure you get exactly what you want. Once this has been done, we are happy to take payment by telephone or in store.

All curtains made by our workrooms are lined. We encourage customers to choose interlined curtains because they not only hang beautifully but also provide substantial insulation.

There are many more curtain, blind and pole styles available from Knickerbean. Please contact us to discuss your requirements if you have not found what you are looking for on our site.

Decorative Curtain Poles

The Chelsea Harbour pole collection is manufactured in London using traditional methods and materials to create a classic range of replica Antique English curtain poles.

Poles are custom-made to your measurements
Poles are available in 1.5, 1.8, 2.1, 2.4, 3 and 3.6 metre lengths and will be custom cut to your exact requirements. Poles come with brackets (12cm projection for 45mm pole and 10cm projection for 35mm pole), finials and 1 ring per 10 cm.
NB 2.4, 3 and 3.6 metre poles come in two pieces with three brackets.

Measuring for a curtain pole
1) Measure the inside recess width of the window.
2) Add at least 15cm ( 6” ) each side i.e. 30cm ( 12” ) in total.
3) If you are unsure of which length pole to choose then always choose the size longer as the poles can easily be cut down.
All pole measurements are that of the pole only, on which the curtain rings can travel. The lengths of the finials are over and above the pole length quoted.
