DINING ROOMMr Parsons – Dining Room (Sudbury)
An old property where the client wanted a moody atmospheric vibe. We started with the paint colour of the room. Made-to-measure, hand turned oak curtain poles with traditional hand finished antique brass accessories and strong printed velvet curtains were selected and sourced. Dining chairs were manufactured locally and French polished, then upholstered with a sumptuous velvet on the seat in four strong colours, but with a co-ordinated geometric for the rear backs of the chairs.
We built a window seat with a seat pad to match, fireside chair plus a made-to-measure bordered luxurious rug. Add into the mix an oversized, ornate detailed mirror and the scheme is complete.
Being a lover of entertaining and socialising, dinner parties now in the newly finished room have become a heavy point of discussion. Thank you Ian for bringing my vision to life!

DRESSING ROOMSusan Knight – Dressing Room
Previously a bedroom that hadn’t been touched in many years, the client wanted to change it to an additional dressing room that blended with the rest of the house. We stripped the walls and ceilings down to the structural bones and rebuilt exposing beams, creating three new double wardrobes incorporating an additional shower/vanity area. Exclusive poles were sourced with Austrian crystal finials, two fabrics were sourced for a double-sided curtain to enable privacy. Fabric was sourced to be quilted for the chair and reupholstered, coordinating fabric and blinds were sourced for the main front window along with paint colour and coordinating flooring.
Ian helped me to achieve the vision of my dreams. I was a little apprehensive before I met Ian as I did not want an overly designed scheme. I needn’t have worried, as Ian was able to use existing furniture and lighting. Amazingly he also sourced a new made-to-measure oversized mirror which works a treat in the room.

SITTING ROOMMrs Wood – Lavenham
A richly layered sitting room for Mrs Wood in Lavenham. Deep teal velvet, soft pink upholstery and sage green walls sit alongside expressive patterns, warm timber and antique furniture. Patterned curtains and pelmets, tactile cushions and a striped ottoman bring colour and texture together, while the exposed beams, brick fireplace and wood-burning stove give the room a welcoming character.

KITCHENMartin S – Kitchen Extension
My client wanted to extend the existing kitchen so we looked at styles and rather than opting for a traditional orangery, we chose to go comtempory, with large bi-fold doors and two sets of French doors, also incorporating an oversized roof lantern. We worked with a local kitchen manufacturer to guarantee the quality and overall desired look. Soft teal tones were selected for cabinetry walls and wood work.
When it came to furnishings, we chose a pale teal palette for the sofas with strong orange and teal tones for bar stools, cushions, stool and roman blind/pelmet, which picked up all the colours from previous bought artwork.
I know what I like, but I wouldn’t have a clue on how to put it all together. Ian was sympathetic to our budget requirements & I’m ecstatic with the end result.

BEDROOMPenny W – Creeting St Mary House Bedroom One
The remit was that a headboard, valance, Bed throw, Cushions, Lampshades, re-upholstered chair, curtains and blind and curtain pole were required. A calming, eclectic, modern style was requested to work with the properties age that combined neutral tones of greys, silvers and light minks were selected building textural layers.
Having purchased my home, I then had the ordeal of looking for help with not only the bones of this room but also the furnishings. Having come across Ian, he took all the pain away & the overall result is better than i ever thought. When friends come & stay, they think they are in a 5 star hotel. Thank you Ian, I couldn’t have ever imagined the end result.

BEDROOMPenny W – Creeting St Mary House Bedroom Two
Having worked with the client previously, we worked on the bones of the room, stripping back to the bare brick and taking the ceiling down. The basin and fireplace were also removed. The room was then made water tight and neutral tones were selected for curtain fabrics and French poles were sourced (curved poles returning to the wall). Lamp bases were sourced to work with the iron bed and then flooring supplied to complete the overall look.
Having used Ian for a Spare Bedroom, I needed help with another Bedroom. Again the structure of the room needed work as I could see sky through the roof. I wanted neutral tones again, calming and not old fashioned. What a transformation, thank you again Ian x
